Karen is on the move!
Welcome to my travelblog!
My name is Karen Evers, known as Kary. For the ones that don't know me. I'm originally from Curacao and came to Holland for my studies. Since last year I developed this intrest for travelling, since then I started my journey towards exploring the world.
From now on my trips are going to be a little bit different than before. I'm more driven by cultures, people, I want to feel and experience the everyday life, the real thing. So don't forget to check out my blogs and feel free to leave comments or ask questions......

Finally, We did it! After thousands phone calls and negotiations with SIW we finally got a place in a volunteering project.
This camp is located in Damnoen Saduak district in Ratchaburi province. It's organised around the Mae Klong River and dozens of man-made channels, hosting the biggest floating market of the country: Damnoen Saduak. Improvement of the environmental protection is needed. We will be part of the environmental campaign in this district, we will contribute to the cleaning of the Klongs (channels) around the old floating market, together with the locals. Additionally, we will teach English and give workshops for the primary and secondary school. We will also learn about the history of the city Ratchaburi and basic Thai language. We shouldn't be afraid to get their hands dirty and a decent level of English language and the will to teach it to kids is obviously necessary. Our accommodation will be in a traditional Thai house, where we will do your own cooking and cleaning.
So I'll be in this region from august 2nd to august 17 th. YESSS!!!!!! I'm soo looking forward to this day.
The girls and I are planning a ''Thailand weekend'' in which we will start preparing our travel plans. It is going to be a lot of FUN!!
I'll keep you posted!!!
